Books are absent teachers. Authority figures, especially teachers or parents, are often replaced by books as the primary source of information, inspiration, and guidance. Books give us all the answers we need without having to rely on anyone else. They tell stories that help us through tough times and help us learn from our mistakes.

What a book does is provide information and inspiration, but it does not solve problems for us. The only way to really learn anything is to go through a process of trial and error by practicing what we have learned from a book.
